RCC concrete is used to cover the streets, public places, urban, rural and mountainous roads, major roads, and industrial areas where heavy vehicles traffic.
The advantages of Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) over asphalt:
- Due to rising prices of asphalt in recent years and likely raises in its prices in the future, concrete pavement is much more affordable than asphalt
- If the infrastructures in the subgrade and sub-base layers have good density, concrete pavement can be performed on any of these layers.
- The use of oil derivatives such as bitumen causes environmental pollution, and are associated with some possible risks (during bitumen heating and spraying).
- Installation of concrete production machineries (batching) and displacement of that asphalt is easier and less costly than establishment and displacement of asphalt production plants.
- The greatest advantage of this pavement is low maintenance cost after it is implemented, which is roughly ten times less than the asphalt maintenance costs
- In urban public places that where different kinds of digging operations may be performed  by different organizations such as water, electricity, gas, telecommunications, sewerage and so on, such pavements are easy to repair and reconstruct after the completion of drilling and executive operations, and their subsidence or failure is quite unlikely.
- The useful lifespan of concrete is at least 2 to 3 times more than asphalt.
- According to the summary of descriptions set forth above it is evident that the implementation costs of this pavement project, especially in terms of post-implementation maintenance, are much lower and more affordable than the asphalt costs.
Drawing on the experience gained during its activity period, this complex is ready to implement the final layer of (RCC) concrete with optimum quality in all parts of Iran, and also recommends this type of pavement to all the environment lovers and economists.
